NTB - Mrs. Selvi Gibran Rakabuming does Socialization of Prevention of Early Child Marriage at Regional General Hospital (RSUD) NTB Province, in Mataram City, Wednesday (11/06/2025).
This socialization is part of a series of activities of Mrs. Selvi in Pulau Lombok which is attended by about 100 participants, including students from four junior high schools in Mataram City, posyandu cadres, child protection community, as well as health workers from various regions in NTB. In the activity, Mrs Selvi as the Women's Solidarity Builder for Indonesia Red and White Cabinet (Seruni KMP) is accompanied by members of Seruni, Chairman of the Empowerment and Family Welfare Movers Team (TP PKK) NTB and Head of High Prosecutor of NTB called for "Stop Early Child Marriage".
Mrs. Selvi emphasizes one of her ways with educational and collaborative approach including engaging families, schools, local communities, to medical personnel and law enforcement. Mrs. Selvi also calls for health service facilities, including hospital hospital, to play an active role in preventing early childhood marriage through education related to reproductive health, as well as psychological and mental services to adolescents in an accurate and thorough manner. This is in an effort to support the agenda of the Government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto committed to protecting children and women.
Mrs. Selvi had time to interact warmly with the participants. She invited participants to a discussion on the adverse effects of early childhood marriage. On the occasion, Mrs. Selvi also invited the participants to make use of technology especially social media to voice the importance of preventing child marriage in the surrounding environment. He also hopes that this education movement does not stop only in NTB, but can reach other regions in Indonesia. Besides that, Mrs. Selvi also ordered, for the teenagers to remain focused on acquiring knowledge and pursuing ideals for a better future, towards the golden generation 2045.
Let's prevent early marriage together, as Mrs. Selvi said, getting married is not just a capital of love, there are many aspects that need to be considered, this is to protect the future of the young generation of Indonesia. *
